WiI I see a jump in performance??

Hello, I am looking to build a new computer in the next couple of weeks. The processor which I am targeting is the AMD phenom II 555 3.2 ghz. My current computer has a Intel Pentium D 805 dual core clocked at 2.66 ghz. My question is if I will see a big jump in performance? I know that 3.2 ghz is not much higher than 2.66 ghz. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Depends what you do on a PC. It won't be a mind blowing new experience with Firefox. But if you game or do heavy stuff like video editing, you'll notice.
