How to share one folder in windows xp in a workgroup for some PCs

Hello
I have a workgroup with the name of workgroup1.
There are about 10 PCs in this workgroup with names of PC1, PC2, PC3, PC4, ...
I have a folder in PC1 with the name of folder1 and I want to share it in the workgroup
I want only users from PC2 and PC3 be able to see this folder
Please advice me

  1. from what I remember, when you share a folder, it is all or nothing. once you share it everybody in the Workgroup can access it.

    even on a Domain the access rights are based on user accounts not PC names

    maybe look into a NAS were you can assign access rights based on user accounts
  2. You can not restrict access based on computer name, only on accounts or user groups.
