Hi and thanks for hopefully helping me out.

I have a dual WAN router (Cisco RV042) however I'm pretty sure it won't do what I want.

I have 2 Internet connections coming into the building and I want to have failover BUT I want the default to be to assign an ISP to a port to one room will be assigned to the ISP coming in on WAN1 and another room to be assigned to the ISP coming in on WAN2.

Hope that makes sense. Does anyone know a router that would make his work (or better yet - if I can make the one I have do that?) Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Also - wireless is not important but not a problem if it has it.

Thanks !!!

I would talk with Cisco and see what they say. As for the two rooms you would need two different dhcp scopes with different default gateways corresponding to the appropriate ISP you want. As for load balancing, fail over and such, I don't know.
