My firewall will not open due to unidentifiable problem

I have Windows XP and my firewall will not open. It sends the following error msg: Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings.

so try scanning your computer with antimalwarebyte
download it

it a registry error do chkdsk/r it should fix it
