Okay so I have this Zalman CNPS 9000 something that I've been using for years. I assume it's the CNPS 9500A blue led model. Anyway trying to transfer it from my old LGA 775 Asus P5QC mobo to my new LGA 1155 Gigabyte Z77x UP5-th. Everything says the cooler should be compatible yet when I read the manual, the clip shown is not the same, since it also has a back clip on the underside of the motherboard not just nuts and screws. The biggest problem however is the clip DOES NOT seem to fit the new LGA 1155 motherboard. Maybe something is going over my head, I do not have the old box and I assumed I used all the parts that came with it, but the clip top mount comes up a little short on reaching the holes on the new LGA 1155 motherboard and it's something I do not want to *finesse* to fit. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks for your time guys,

IID

that is because you bought it before lga1155 came out. see not on newegg under details. =
Note*: Customers that purchased coolers before the inclusion of support for socket 1155/1156, can purchase the separately sold ZM-CS5A or ZM-CS5B mounting kit for installation onto socket 1155/1156. The mounting kit ZM-CS4A can be purchased separately for installation onto socket 1366. you want the "zm-cs5a".

this is what you want = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118131
