Error after Install

Hi,
I had windows 8 release preview on my computer but now i went to install Windows xp pro 32bit. After it went through the copying files to disk to then restarting windows, it says 'A Disk Read Error Occurred Press Alt+Cntrl+Dlt to restart'.
I had then installed it from a different disk 2 times but still same problem then i tried it on a different computer and it worked! Then i put it back into the computer and it said same problem again.
I changed sata cable and same problem.

Spec:
Amd Athlon 4200+
Msi 7253
2gb Ram

did you delete the partition(s) and created new once during the install process?

are you using IDE or SATA drives?

you might have to load the chipset driver (F6) during the installation.

Just before you said this i deleted all exisiting partitions and that worked!

u don't any copying u jsut put the disc in then shut down when u restart in set-up or install start if u want to save 8 then don't format just install on 8 partition that way ur will have a duel boot, or u can install on another partition, but u want a duel u will 2 chooses on the boot screen, which to boot too...
