audio output to monitor pc xp

Hello,
I have set up a desktop pc to stream tv programs off the net the tv (LG LED TV) is working fine but no audio working using 3.5mm jack cable from the audio out on the back of the tower to the audio in on the tv. Tried usb speaker which works fine but want sound from my tv speakers any ideas please?

You need to make sure your built-in sound hardware is enabled and the default playback device.

Did you connect with HDMI ? If so your video card has HD drivers to send sound through HDMI. Otherwise, set the stream software sound to use sound card. Set TV to use the input on the "PC channel" instead of HDMI for sound.
