Hi,
i am hoping to grab a new machine later but I don't know whether to go for:
Intel Core 2 Duo
Intel Core i5-430m

I'm gonna be using it for surfing, medium+ level gaming (fsx, x-plane, simulators, etc.), photoshop, graphical work, multimedia and device management (eg - iTunes, MP3 etc.)

Which would be best to suit my needs, i know there's quite a price difference but i still need to know which suits me?

Is this for a laptop or desktop? You said, Core i5 430M, which is a mobile CPU: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=43537

If you plan to play FSX with high detail, you will need a pretty decent GPU too. A laptop with a 5670M is quite expensive.

The i5-430m is only for laptops, if u are planning buy a laptop go with the i5. But if is a desktop, use the normal i5.

^In that case, go with the i5-430m, is a better CPU and more future proof.
