Hey Everyone

I just want to ask you people How To overclock An core i3 3220...

I want to know because im going to order me one on monday...

• GIGABYTE GTX 460se
• CORE 2 DUO E8400
• GIGABYTE EP43-UD3L (DISCRETE)
• GIGABYTE G-POWER PRO CPU COOLER
• 2GIG DDR2 RAM
• A-OPEN H600A CHASSIS
• GIGABYTE ODIN 585W PSU
• LG SUPER MULTI DRIVE 24X
• WESTERN DIGITAL CAVIAR GREEN 2TB HDD

you can't - not really. the i3 has a "locked multiplier" so the only way would be to raise the base clock- Bclk and that is not advisable since you RAM and PCI bus (graphics) runs off that and would cause instability issues. you can go for a 3%-6% gain; raising it to 103 to 106 but that little won't make any difference at all.

if you can get a 15 they are much better performance wise

you're fine.

you may get better performance in single threaded apps/games than a i5-3330 with the i3's slightly higher clock speed.
