HD4850 HDMI Audio and PCI Sound Card

Hi,

I have a Connect3D HD4850 with HDMI output which i have connected to my 40" LCD Samsung. With the ATI HDMI audio driver i get sound through my TV. Now i want to install a 5.1 PCI Sound Card and plug it to my amp. Should i disable the HDMI Audio from the graphics card or just select the new sound card as default sound device? The goal is not to get any sound from the HD4850 and take sound from the sound card instead.

^^ I don't think you can; same issue as USB headsets and soundcards: Theres no real way to route audio from one device to another. One will always preempt the other.
