Bios does not see hard drive

The computer froze when I was online. I did a restart. It did not get pass the blk screen w/ status bar and no further. Tried to restart w/ xp sys. disc. It tried to reinstall, and stop. bios does not see hard drive.

harry here: it's the cmos that see it, cause the settings was not saved on shut down, so cause it lose it safe mode get booted up with networking go online if it works be set then shut down so the chip can save settings then u restart back into windows
