Ive just recently built my first PC. I would like to OC my system now.

System includes:

APEVIA Mid Tower Case in Green x1 200mm led fan, x4 120mm led fans

APEVIA WARLOCK POWER ATX-WA1100W 1100W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3 AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

AMD FX-8350 FX-Series Eight-Core Processor Edition, Black AM3 FD8350FRHKBOX

NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Cards x2

Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory

Windows 7 home.

Im looking for some info on overclocking.

yeah thanks for the link, i seen that already. i was hopeing there was something short and sweet. Mobo/bios come with a program et6. so i can click on it and it goes from 4.0 to 4.2. i was just hopeing there was some simple math to clock it useing air rather than adding a liquid cooling system. I was kinda wanting to get it to a solid 4.6-4.8. guessing im biteing off more than i can chew. thanks again.

Just slowly read through them both, overclocking is not very hard and is actually a very fun challenge. 4.6Ghz should be achievable on air cooling so long as it is not the stock cooler being used.
