Hi everybody!
I just have a couple of questions to ask and am looking for some constructive criticism or other ideas. So at the moment I own a 120gb 3gbs hdd for my desktop. It obviously sucks. I also own a laptop with a 7200rpm 500gb hdd. So I have three options right now. I can buy this hdd http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236094 and stick it into my main desktop. I can buy a cheap 2.5" drive, stick it into my laptop, and use the laptops' drive in the desktop. Or I could just buy an external hdd enclosure and stick my 120gb hdd in my laptop. BTW I'm on a very tight budget, as most of probably could tell.

Yes.

A 2.5" drive will WORK in a desktop, you may need drive adapters to mount it.

Very common, here is what I used, even though it's "dual."

That's what we all do when we install a SSD (which is 2.5") into a desktop (which is usually 3.5").

As for which drive goes where, that is up to you and your budget. I'd put the larger capacity drive in my desktop.

Alright, thanks. So do you think it would be okay if I buy that refurbished hdd? Its really cheap, but im not sure if I can trust the longevity of the item.
