I just put together the system listed below. I can boot into BIOS fine but I get an error when trying to install windows Xp Pro. The drive spins up fast then slows down quick when windows is copying files and then I get this error:
"STOP: c0000221 Unknown Hard Error \SystemRoot\System32\ntdll.dll"
What could be causing this?

Is this an original Microsoft install disk? A quick Google search indicates this is likely caused by a corrupted file on the installation media. It could also be a problem with the optical drive or RAM. Did you manually set the RAM speed/timings/voltage to their rated specs in the BIOS?

Is your optical drive set to "Master"?
