hi!
A huge thanks in advance to anyone who can help me solve my problem.
The other day, I purchsed a used HP Omnibook 4100 laptop. It is a
pentium II 233. It was formatted, but I re-formatted anyways.
Installed Windows 98. Then I had the Recovery CDRom, which also has
the drivers for the laptop. I installed the correct drivers for the
video card (on board neomagic), and it succesfully allowed me to
change the display size, go up to high color/true bit, etc., which
before installing the driver, I only had 2 or 16 colour as options,
and only the largest font as the option. So the drivers did
successfully install. However, as with before the driver was
installed, the font of texts, icons, etc. are muddy and shadowed. Some
letters and numbers look almost bold or thick, while some are
railthin. Its very difficult to read, and even more annoying in word
processor programs.
Whats really weird too is I took a screenshot for an example, saved it
to disk, and when i load the image on my main PC (not the laptop), the
screenshot looks normal!
Would anyone be able to help me? Whats going on and what do I need to
do to fix the problem? Thanks very much...

Hi Jay,
For a crisp display you need to run the machine at its native resolution. It sounds like you are running at a lower resolution.
