which radeon 5000 manufacturer? does it matter?

when looking to upgrade a video card, there are many manufacturers that I guess but the chipset from ati and tweak it for themselves like asus, powercolor, sapphire..etc..
does it make a difference which brand to go with considering id be using ati's drivers?

which is smarter to get, a 5870 or a 5970? im debating between the two. i have 2 lcd's to use for eyefinity..
not sure which direction to go in..I like the idea of having dual gpu's..

the 5830 is looking sub par in most reviews.. so why would I want to get 3 of a sub par gpu when I could get one flagship and pay a few a little more?

I found one online for $650. Thats pretty average for a top of the line video card..the 295 was about the same price..give or take..maybe still is..about 500

im not deadset on anything, just researching.. look at what is said about the 5830..not that its right or wrong, but many peoplesay its a step above a 4890...its not very well liked so far..

are you a ati fan? I like ATI, I have no problem with nividia either though..
But Ive had more luck over the years with ATI products..

So fermi isnt going to be anywhere near the power of the top 5k cards, is it?

The only difference is warranty bundles etc. I purchases a powercolor 5850 yesterday, it was only $300 with free 1 day shipping and dirt 2

If you were to choose between 5970 and 5830 CF. Then get the 5970 since it has way more performance and overclockable.
