My ASrock P55 Deluxe 3 motherboard works fine with SATA hard drives and SATA CD/DVD burner. It will not detect any IDE devices attached. ASROCK has replaced the motherboard twice (I an on my third motherboard). I can't believe I would receive 3 defective motherboards. Is there some setting I an not aware of that will correct this problem? I have talked to their tech people and all they can do is replace the motherboard. I am using Windows 7. Any help would be appreciated.

What are the IDE devices??

Have you check the devices on other machines to make sure they aren't defective? Is it set on Master or Slave so it isn't being recognized?

Have you check the cable to make sure it isn't defective?

I have checked the devices on other machines, changed devices and changed the cables. I have changed the settings from master to slave, and back again. I have tried a hard drive alone, a cd/dvd burner along and both at once. The motherboard works fine otherwise.
