HP Pavilion ZT1150
WinXP

After about a year of the backlight flickering after coming out of
standby or starting up, the it just stopped working the other day. I
still can see the desktop with a flashlight. I've done some research on
HP.com and found this on Partsurfer.HP.com:

Inverter PCA - For 15.0-inch LCD display - Item #F3379-60925 - $27

Is soldering involved in installing this? Before I buy it, I'd like to
open in the guts and see if there's anything I can clean or check. The
notebook was bought refurbished from uBid.com and is long out of
warranty. Any help on that and on the inverter installation?
