Clean a smudge off case?

Hi, I recently purchased a Coolermaster Centurion 5 from Newegg. It is a very nice case IMO, but I got some sort of smudge on the top of the case, I can't wipe it off, and it doesn't vanish.

Is there any way to remove it, or do I just have to live with it? It is my first case buy and I would like my case to be all shiny

Do you know what kind of smudge it is? If it's a paint smudge, some rubbing alcohol and elbow grease might help.
