I was wondering if a server type computer (the opterons and xeons) would work well for gaming. The monster opteron will get 12 cores soon so I was just wondering what you guys think. 12 cores+ 8 gb ram+ gtx 295 quad sli = MONSTER KILL!

You might get a few more fps out of it but we all know that "compute-core infrastruture" (mobo/cpu/coolers/ram) is not nearly as important as the Graphics Subsystem.

But if you are already doing a 4XCossFire "EVGA Classified" with Nitrogen Jet cooling throughout ... And if you are already well beyond 4.2GHz with a Gulftown 6 Core and 24GB of CAS7 DDR3 and your games and system are loading from RAIDED SSDs ... Sure ... Go for it !

Ever seen one of these . . . ? ? ? :

This will NOT fit in your Pappy's E-ATX FULL TOWER ! (Ya gotta screw it to yer wall !)
