  1. Might want to follow the guidelines...

    CPU: X4 955 $160
    Mobo: ASUS M4A785T-M/CSM $85
    RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2 GB 1600 mhz CAS Latency 7 $115
    HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1 TB $90
    Case/PSU: Antec 300 Illusion and Neo Eco 520W $120

i realized guideline issue after i posted since i posted before i knew of them. i BELIEVE i fixed it, if not please let me know what else i should change. sorry!
  3. also i forgot to say thanks for your help so far madadmiral.
  4. again sorry to post on my own thread again, but i read some info on what you suggested as far as compatibility with that gskill ripjaw and amd on newegg, should i maybe go with a different ram?
  5. Nope. That's pretty much all marketing. You may need to manually set the speed, voltage and timings in the BIOS, but you should do that with any build.
  6. what about this combo instead of the mobo you suggested?

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.349730
  7. That's a good one (it's what I'm using), but it doesn't have USB 3/SATA III ports, so it's less future proof. You would also need to buy a graphics card then, as it doesn't have onboard graphics.
  8. ok, im an idiot and didnt even notice the lack of onboard graphics. thats why i need you guys! lol
