i have unistalled linux red hat from my system . .. now m having windows 7 . .. i want to install windows xp . . . win xp cd boots but after pressing any key installation does not proceed .. i have tried changing several cd\'s

Do you have a SATA hard drive? If so, then you need a SATA driver disk for XP to install.

today i tried a lot and finally succeeded to format my pc . . . but through windows 7 disc . . .
but i don't understand when windows 7 dvd boots then what happens to windows cp cd . . .

Reread my last two posts. The XP install disc does not have a SATA hard drive driver, so it cannot see your SATA hard drive. You must either create a SATA drive floppy disc, or you must modify the XP install disc to include SATA drivers.
