I have two XP (SP2) Home systems on my LAN and sometimes when I try to
access their shares over the LAN, it can take several minutes before the
connection occurs (or the shared fodler opens). Any clues as to what is
going on and/or what I can do to remedy this?

I'm confident my LAN hardware is in working order and I can ping these
machines w/o incident.
