Need advice on ASUS P6X58D Premium alternative...

It's been awhile since I've put together a new system from scratch and could use some advice.

I'm working up this LGA1366 system and am seeing some issues with the Asus board I had picked out when using dual video cards and not having another PCI slot to use for another card like sound card. I want to futureproof with the faster SATA 6Gb/s and USB 3.0, but want to have dual vids and at least one more usable slot.

Advice on a mainboard with a better layout and comparable other features? (or any other tweaks to this list much appreciated!)

Using mainly newegg atm.

I may try overclocking the 920 and any advice on good coolers for bumping it up above 3Ghz w/o a lot of fuss? eg: does the boxed Intel CPU fax/heatsink remove easily to install an after market?

^ Nearly all of the X58 mobo that have SATA 6GB/s and USB 3.0, have the same issue...But why not use a PCIe x1 slot for the sound cards...You do get most of the peripheral cards which are PCIe x1...

Or but a regular ASUS X58 mobo and get this card...

Thanks, I'll look into some other models for mainboard. I was also looking through some Gigabyte models, and suggestions there?

^ Even the Gigabyte ones have the same issue...
IF you populate 2 cards in the X16 slots, then the PCI slot gets blocked...
And like I said why not use a PCIe x1 sound cards ? They are widely available and you wont have that issue too...
