Question about PCI Express 2.1 Tags: Motherboards PCI Express New Build Last response: November 6, 2010 2:02 PM in Motherboards Share Metalmurphy November 6, 2010 1:02:34 PM I was looking at parts for a new build and I noticed that this HD 6870 said the Bus Standard is PCI Express 2.1 http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=HtuZg3hlM5iz8Bag And the MB I was looking at says it only has PCI Express 2.0 http://rog.asus.com/Product.aspx?PId=16#product_tab Does this mean that the GFX card won't work at all or it'll just work as a 2.0?
