I have decided to buy either the asus p7p55D-E pro or Gigabyte P55A-UD4P for an i5 750 build.

I originally decided to go with the asus board (because my last board was asus and I had no problems at all) but I read about the high-pitched noise with the asus board on idle. Any suggestions are welcome.

+1 other then the fact I would not get that gigabyte board if you are not going to xfire.

I have the p7p55d pro and have not had the mentioned high pitched noise. I'm just kinda kicking myself over investing in FUTURE technology. 6gb/s and usb 3.0. By the time those become more popular i'm going to want something else. I could have just bought something else and saved some money. I did notice newegg had an open box p7p55d pro for 141.99.
