Confused about unapproved Memory for ASU M4A89TD PRO

I am a noob, in the process of buying for my first build. I have settled on the ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 motherboard with an AMD phenom II x6 1055. I asked for advice in another section and the following RAM was recommended: G.SKILL ECO Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-4GBECO.

My issue is that this RAM while meeting all the specs I can find on the motherboard, is NOT listed on the manufacturer's list of approved memory, or in the manual. Will it still work? Why or why not? I am missing something completely? If not, what would be a comparable memory that will fit, 1600mhz, 8 or lower CL?

There are (2+) Best Practice ways to choose correct RAM:
1. Certified by MOBO {typically called QVL}.
2. Tested by RAM Mfg {Configuration}
3. Contact the RAM Mfg via support/technical inquiry to verify RAM

Generally, either of the three methods 'should' insure your RAM properly works, the IC of the RAM is compliant with the chipset of the MOBO.

In your case, the 'Phenom II x6 1055' will also have it's own "approved" list >1800~2000 MHz DDR3.

Example #3 - Corsair inquiry:
"Technical Support
The CMP8GX3M2A1600C9 should be fully compatible with the P7P55D motherboard. Many of our 4GB module kits are fairly new and have not yet made it to our memory configurator, but these parts are definitely tested to run on the P55 chipset. 11/5/2010 7:40:21 PM"

BTW - I'm in the early stages of selecting RAM for a ASUS Crosshair IV Extreme build. Please take note, and look for 1/2/4 DIMM supported RAM. The ideal is the 1/2/4 DIMM support. ;)

I considered the Crosshair IV Formula for this build, but couldn't see too many differences between that and the one I picked out. What are they?

Scroll down {@Jaquith "In a nutshell..."} http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/282374-30-gskill-ddr2...
"There is RAM the will work as {1/2/4} DIMM support; DIMM socket support {1} works with (1) stick, DIMM {2} only works with Dual Channel, and DIMM {4} requires Quad Channel. Therefore, my 'assumption' is that you 'current' DDR2 is the DIMM {1} type"

Ideally, you want your RAM to work at least in Dual AND Quad Channel support.

The Phenom II x6 1055 is its' own puppy and has its' own Memory Controller so you need to be careful whenever you choose RAM and in addition it supports very fast RAM ~2000MHz.

In my particular build, I am trying to find 2000MHz compatible kits which is very difficult to find, and more than likely I'll need to either buy it overseas or direct from {Corsair or G.SKILL}.

{I build 1-2 rigs/month - paid hobby thing. This is for a new referral 'customer'} In real life I own an IDX/REO Database company, but we all have our hobby's. This is a tentative, I'm in the middle of spec'ing list of components.
