I want good memory. Memory that runs well.

Both of these memory modules are compatible with my motherboard.

I have a i5-760 processor. Which says it's memory configuration is either 1067 or 1300. So does speed really matter? Since i know that since i'm using a P55 Motherboard in order for it to go higher then 1600 i would need to overclock the memory. But would i even be able to if the memory configuration on the processor specify's 1067 or 1300?

And overall which memory would perform better at 1300 speed?

System Setup:
EVGA P55 V
Intel i5-760
EVGA GTX 460 Superclocked
Windows 7 Home Premium

Solution
There are (2+) Best Practice ways to choose correct RAM:
1. Certified by MOBO {typically called QVL}.
2. Tested by RAM Mfg {Configuration}
3. Contact the RAM Mfg via support/technical inquiry to verify RAM

Generally, either of the three methods 'should' insure your RAM properly works, the IC of the RAM is compliant with the chipset of the MOBO. {See option #3}
EVGA P55 V - Certified - http://www.evga.com/support/motherboard/

EVGA P55 V - Tested - http://www.corsair.com/configurator/product_results.aspx?id=1209988
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) CMP4GX3M2A1600C8 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145297

EVGA P55 V - Tested - http://gskill.com/configurator2.php?pid=2&model=177
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303

I prefer the Corsair.

Oh and the P55 Micro is a different model and has a different bios version then the P55 V

It's the SAME P55 Chipset, and EVGA is not top on Corsair's list to list every P55 MOBO variant, I know 100% what I posted works! The same VAGUE approach is with EVGA http://www.evga.com/support/motherboard/

EVGA -> "P55 Series Motherboard (DDR3, Dual-Channel)"

BTW EVGA P55 V is a micro ATX http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=120-LF-E650-TR&family=Motherboard%20Family

Okay, thanks. I'll look into getting these if i can't work out something with G Skill. Long story. Bought defective G.Skill memory and i don't want to be without computer memory for 2 weeks so i'm seeing if i can just buy new memory and have G.Skill refund the money for the defective ones if i buy new G.Skill memory. If not i'm probably gonna go Corsair.

And thanks for letting me know that the P55 Chipset is all the same and model doesn't matter as long as it's the same chipset.

Then as I linked/exchange:
EVGA P55 V - Tested - http://gskill.com/configurator2.php?pid=2&model=177
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303

RE: P55 Chipset
That is NOT always the case, but EVGA unlike Gigabyte doesn't try to 'tweak' {screw-up} their MOBOs.
