Upgrade of old Conroe PC

Hello,

I'm looking into updating one of the Pc at home. At the moment I have a system running with the following:

Core 2 Duo E6300 @ 2.4Ghz O.C.
Asus P5B
7600GT 512 MB
2 GB Ram

I'm thinking of getting th Pentium E6300 as it has a good overclocking potential. The board supports this CPU as beta. My first question is does anybody have any experience with the above combination?

Else what motherboard would you suggest for this SOHO/ Media Center PC?

I'm thinking about 200€ as I was planning on getting the Radeon HD5670 and a new PSU for the PC anyway.
