Hi good build, but here are my advices:

1- I would change the mobo for the GIGABYTE GA-790FXTA-UD5 is a very good mobo less expensive that the Crosshair III
2- THIS have the similar performance that the spinpoint f3 500GB (currently unavailable)
3- With the same price of your PSU you can get THIS ONE that is a better PSU, or save a little money and get THIS, both PSUs are enough for your rig.

1- It's Ok. that the RAM does been not in the list, doesn't mean that don't work with the mobo, just means that the mobo wasn't tested with that RAM.

2- Yeah, the 1600 RAM can work in your mobo, BUT you need set manually all the specifications in the BIOS.

3- The link don't work 'cause is your shopping cart and we can't see it, even, if you post the link.

I'd go with whitefang's build though i'd hit a X4 955BE + Giga 770 USB/SATA 3 combo
ditch any thought of CF and stick to the HD 5870
nab this Antec Illusion + Antec EA650 combo

My suggested PSU and case together is $154 after MIR. My selected PSU and case is only $25 more and the PSU is of much higher quality and will allow CF 5870's in the future.

The processor that you selected is great, however 4 processors aren't used at all in gaming. Madadmiral had said in a post around here how the 4th processor can actually slow down gaming performance to where as 3 processors are perfect.

Just my two cents.

Some games but others scale with more cores like GTA4 and Dragons Age Origins but yes Toms study concluded that X3 is the sweet spot for games on an even spread

Personally i wouldn't plan to run such a highend HD5870CF set up on an 8x+8x CF board either hehe For gaming rigs GPU upgrades are a norm and i favour single GPU options ^^
