??? 4850 X2 upgrading from a 9600 GT OC

I have a 9600 GT OC and I'm looking at upgrading to the 4850 X2, I like the price point. Now, I'm unclear about the card and crossfire. Do you run the crossfire with the other GPU on the card, or with a second card? I would rather run one kick ass card at a $300 or less point than run two cards. I lack X-fire knowledge, but I want to know more. Thanks for the help.

Get an HD5850. It's a single-card that doesn't need any crossfire knowledge whatsoever.

So with that card, even though it's on one PCB you still have to enable crossfire to max the card and be able to use the second GPU? I hope that makes since. I'm trying to get my head around it.Thanks

No. All you have to do is insert the card with drivers. It's very simple. The card is NOT crossfire. It is a single card.

I was asking about the 4850 X2. Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear about that. I'm trying to decide if the 4850 X2 will make me happy, or if I should go with the 5850 and call it good. I just like the price of the 4850 X2.
