Computer active mag did an article on online printing services a while back
I will have a look for the mag and let you know who the companies were if I
can find it.
I know you say sending a CD however I think you will need to e-mail the pics
and wait to get the prints back.
ASDA have in store printing services where you can print from CD and do 50-
6x4 prints for a fiver, they do offer other sizes too.
Not sure if you can get to a store, but thought I would let you know just
incase

Try www.dotphoto.com I have been using it for years. Most people upload
their photos...but you can send a cd too.

Wow! At Raley's (local supermarket) it costs 90 cents per photo. Since
I have over 50 photos, that would be pretty pricey. Thanks for your help.

Thanks to all of you. I knew someone would have some ideas. Will check

Wal-Mart prints them for $.26; Costco and Walgreens are likely comparable.

He should try a few test prints from Wal Mart first. I have always been
dissatisfied with what my local Wal-Mart in Philadelphia produces. Colors
washed out, poor focus (tree branches look fuzzy--not sharp like in the
negative), color balance way off (grass that is "Kelly Green" ).
Others have reported good results from Wal-Mart, so my experience may be
different from yours.
One lab that does excellent work is www.dalelabs.com. They accept images by
mail on CD, or uploaded online. I've dealt with them for 30 years, and they
have been consistently excellent. I believe that they remain the official
lab for the NFL. And they accept work from anywhere in the world, not just
the US.

Others have had bad experiences with their local stores too, but mine is
excellent, so as you say, experimenting is a good idea.

Thanks for pointing them out. I downloaded their catalog, and I think
I'll try them out for some enlargements. I like the large printing
services they offer, and they make it sound like they're easy to work
with. Not cheap though.

No, but I can attest to their quality. I use them for my film work, too.
They use Nikkor enlarger lenses that cost $10k each! The prints are
excellent, the colors jump off the paper at you.
If you find their prices a bit high, you might consider using a cheaper lab
to do your proofing, and sending the need to Dale for enlargements.
Take a look at their tour, if it is still on their website. They have a
very impressive facility.

Sure, but you can eat grapes while they're being printed. That's gotta
be worth something.
