Stuck in safe mode

I have a Toshiba Satellite with Windows 7. I am stuck in safe mode. I have tried to run from the start menu but in the boot tab, the safe mode was not checked. I also tried shutting down by holding the power button to start Windows normally. Nothing is worked yet. Could somebody please explain what I am doing wrong?

try tapping f8 at bootup and selecting load last known good configuration
