Looking for the best motherboard for My e-GeForce 8600 GT

what would be the best MotherBoard be for an e-GeForce 8600 Gt PCI-E 256 MB DDR3.

We need to 1) know your socket/CPU & 2) your budget. Any mid to low range motherboard will be fine for your graphics card, as it is not the strongest out there

What for reals? As long as it has a PCI-E slot it doesn't really matter. An 8600GT is a pretty low end card so it doesn't make sense to spend extra on an SLI board to run two of them or anything.

I picked up the card for $30.00 and was thinking of getting ASRock M3A770DE AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard. I am building it piece by piece as I can only afford around $100.00 a month on the build. I havent realy picked a CPU yet. any input from the forum would be helpful.

Do you plan on upgrading your video card down the road (soon??)

I might suggest the ASRock 870 Extreme3, which is the best valued AM3 on the market right now!!

I would consider my motherboard recommendation than, as it provides the best upgrade path (USB 3.0 & SATA III) & graphic card options (Crossfire Setup at x8,x8)
