HP Pavilion ze5702 ea upgrade or trash bin

Hi there i have old laptop and the question is to put in the bin or try to upgrade for my mum .

Heh a bit too much info there, but I guess better than none. I still have to go elsewhere to find the important data...

Well, there really isn't much you can do with that model. Memory upgrades are minimal and won't do much. You are better off getting a deal like this if you need a laptop:

:D  i know i can buy new .but i thing i can buy on ebay bit upgrades mobo or cpu used ones if have to .This will be my first laptop assembly it will be like my toy :D 

but i only need help with the components pls.

It's not like a desktop. These are proprietary parts and there is just not much you can do with it. The motherboard/CPU/memory would all need to be replaced at once, but there is no way to find a board that's going to fit properly with the other components.

If you did manage to get a newer board in there, you would have to install a fresh operating system, and the version the laptop shipped with is not going to want to install with different hardware.

I know now what you mean now . But i bought nearly all os ,so the OS is not the problem but like you said the mobo is problem and others .I try my luck , anyway like i said ......my toy.......:-)
