Motherboard question

Hello, I have a question regarding a specific motherboard and the intel H55 chipset.
This is the motherboard: http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=qpc2bo5ohh8aJCGY
My question is I will buy an core i3 540 CPU and I want to use the built-in HD Graphics adapter. I have a display with a DVI 1920x1080 resolution. Will I be able to use it on this motherboard or other H55 chipset based ones?

  1. No, that MOBO doesn't have any built-in GPU.

The ASUS P7H57D-V EVO does have HDMI and is not a mATX MOBO, but for the price you are better-off purchasing a dedicated GPU.

  2. How about http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=qWmZUAdNKeozTOXb or http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3503#ov
which are in the same price range.

P.S. I will be buying an external GPU after some time so I dont want to invest in it now.
  3. The P7H55D-M PRO and GA-H55M-UD2H are both mATX {a/k/a uATX or micro ATX}, and because of expandability I do not recommend them - however, both will do the job. The P7H55D-M PRO would be 'my' preference; the ASUS have better power to both the CPU and Memory.
