Windows error id 3

my pc is showing error id 3

General system errors are very hard to pin down, since they aren't associated with a given location. (you'd need the whole hex code to begin working on that)

If I recall correctly, 3 has something to do with an invalid path. What that means is your OS is looking for a file needed for some function, and can't find it.


In the absence of more detailed informantion from the system, I would be inclined to run a system repair using the installation disc.
