Worthwhile upgrade?

Thinking of upgrading my old geforce 7900GTX, but not sure at what point the rest of my system will be the limiting factor. Any advice appreciated.

My current specs are:
Core 2 Duo E6700, ASUS P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe, 2GB DDR2 900MHz, 550W PSU, 7900GTX 512MB

Ideally looking to spend no more than about £100-£120.
Thanks

1280x1024, I probably wont bother replacing that anytime soon since i'd get less for my money with the graphics card

Sounds like the 5770 would be a good choice then - gives me the option to get a new monitor when i can afford one.
Just to make sure - I wouldn't have any issues with power supply or having a fairly old (3 years +) motherboard? And the fact that its a PCIe 2.0 card doesn't cause any problems (fairly sure I only have PCIe 1.something)?

Pci 2.0 is backwards compatible with 1.1 im fairly sure. Plus the 5770 uses very little energy, you can run it on a good 400w PSU.

You should not run into any issues with your 550w PSU or that pcie 1 slot.
Only that it is an Nvidia motherboard which will not allow you to use crossfire, but other than that you are fine.
