Horns of Canzo problem

I started playing this fan mission a couple of days ago and I'd like to
find out if anyone knows of a way to lighten it up a bit. I've got the
gamma set to full but it's still too dark in some places and I can't see
what the hell I'm doing in order to progress any further. At this
point, I just got off of some type of trolly thing that's really high
up. I can't make it to the ladder and keep landing on a ledge. I
looked at the walkthrough about this and according to it, there's 2
wooden beams across the gap that I can fire a rope arrow into. I can
only see the one that's lit up. However, firing a rope arrow into this
one does no good because I can't see where I'm supposed to jump from
there. I'm assuming that I would need to have a rope in the other one
as well but I just can't see the damned thing. If I try to jump to the
second ledge, I keep getting crushed to death by dropping boulders.
Does anyone either know of a way to increase the gamma or of any easier
way to get to where I'm supposed to go next? I'd hate to have to give
this one up after putting so much time into it.

Thanks for any suggestions.

You can change the gamma two ways - in the game but also in your video
card driver properties. They work independently so be sure to try both
settings.

You have got to make it up the ladder somehow - you can see the beams
OK from the metal platform above it. Maybe get back on the trolley
and try jumping to the ladder again?

You are nearly at the end of the very tricky stuff - Lara Croft could
probably do it, so try again!

I'm surprised that it's that dark with the gamma turned all the way up. Are
you playing in a darkened room? That makes a huge difference with how well
you can see in the darker areas. I play at night, when possible.

There's one more spot where you can shoot a rope arrow. There's a green-lit
spot on the wall opposite those ledges, above and to the left a bit. The
top of that piece of wood will take a rope arrow. Put one into it and one
into the piece that juts out up across from the platform. That piece is
mentioned in the walkthrough. From the first rope you can jump to that rope
and from there to the platform. Once you're up there, you should be able to
see the other piece of wood mentioned in it with your bow zoom, though it's
not at all necessary to get up to it. There's nothing vital hidden there.
From the platform it's an easy jump to the Air Key, then over to the rope
and from there to either the other rope or to the top of the trolley canopy
if you don't want to bother with the hole up above. I'll send you a couple
of screenshots to make sure you know where all this stuff is.

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions on this. I guess I'll have
to try and up the gamma on my video card and see if that helps. I've
noticed that a lot of fan missions seem to be extramely dark.
