I have 6GB of DDR3 1333 MHz tri-channel memory and I was wondering if it is compatible with this MSI motherboard.

I've read that the MSI "Big Bang X-Power" X58 motherboard supports up to 1066 MHz DDR3 without having to overclock your memory.

If I plug my memory kit into that motherboard will it automatically default back to 1066 MHz?

Doesn't the Core i7's memory controller max out at 1033 MHz?

I have Two HD 5870's I am going to CF, and this motherboard seems like a very good option over my current ASUS board because the Two PCIe 2.0 x16 slots are distanced Two slots away from each other, instead of being right next to each other on my ASUS X58.

The cards will have room to breathe.

So it will work, and will be compatible without becoming unstable?
