I have 6GB of DDR3 1333 MHz tri-channel memory and I was wondering if it is compatible with this MSI motherboard.

I've read that the MSI "Big Bang X-Power" X58 motherboard supports up to 1066 MHz DDR3 without having to overclock your memory.
If I plug my memory kit into that motherboard will it automatically default back to 1066 MHz?
Doesn't the Core i7's memory controller max out at 1033 MHz?
