"my computer" doesnt show my hard drive. But "device manager" does..

Can see my 1tb hdd in the bios and in "device manager" But I cant save anything to it and dont see it in "my computer".. Whats the deal?

Is it a new drive that you haven't formatted yet? If it isn't formatted, it won't be in my computer because there isn't a partition to mount yet. Look in Disk Management and see if you see it there. If the colored bar on that drive in disk management is black and the drive says raw or unallocated, then the drive isn't formatted and you'll need to format it.

That I can't answer for you. I don't know if GPT has any advantages over MBR other than you can have more and larger partitions on the drive. I don't have an EFI motherboard so I never been able to use it myself either.
