Ghosting on new monitor

I have a problem, i just went out and bought an asus 25.5in 1920-1200 monitor and in all games, when i walk, a shadow or line goes with me that is lighter on one side. i think its called ghosting. In fear 2, the walls have blotches of purple and green. What is the problem, did i get a crappy monitor?

It might be your graphics card. Did the previous monitor, if any, work fine with that setup? Are you using the latest Catalyst drivers? If you can show us what you were describing with a picture, it would really help.

i will get a picture, there was minimal ghosting on my old Envision 19in 1440-900. I have the new 10.2 catalyst drivers.

By the way, I would like to see the "splotches of purple and green" in FEAR 2. That is why I nominated the graphics card as a culprit.
