Qx9650 vs new Intel

Heya Guys
I the proud owner of a shiny new QX9650,Alltho I’m no intending to rush off and upgrade for a good while yet I was wondering as I now for sure have no 775 socket upgrade path, so I can start planning what cpu's from Intel’s current line up would compare with the QX9650. I intend to upgrade my PSU and Graphics this year so want to make sure the psu will be cool with whatever CPU I do eventually upgrade to.
