hi every one,
i'm havin a core2duo processor of 2.00 ghz n nw want to upgrade my MB as it shuts down some times due to over heating(im using a 945gcl intel MB).
i m going to change my cabinate too.....so guide me wch MB should i go for g31 or g41 and asus or gigabyte!
also im going to install a new ram of 1GB so should i keep 2 sticks or should buy 1GB more for this purpose


they say tht asus has a better after sale service so wch 1 to prefer.


my use is of gaming and net surfing and other domestic purpose viz. music n movies.........

so plz help me

Why do you think that the motherboard is causing the shutdowns? You say its due to "overheating", unless you were OCing theres no reason for this to be the board.

Did you install the CPU yourself? If so you might have put the cooler on incorrectly. Did you use thermal paste? Even if you do think you put it on properly it is a good idea to reseat it if its overheating.

How do you know its overheating? Did you use a program? HW Monitor is good, and also Prime95 will stress the CPU so you can check its max temp.
