Cant get flash drive to give me more ram on xp why

Hello,
I put a flash drive in my windows xp to give me more
memory because xp is running so slow and i saw on
here it would speed it up. I can see the drive on my pc
but it is not been used at all and it's been in about a
month..............Thanks

That only works on Windows Vista or newer.

Thanks, I guess we can't believe everything we read on the internet, I read that on cnet and they said the flash drive
work work on xp.

Perhaps the article was referring to replacing a hard drive with an SSD flash drive?
