Greetings all, while I posted a couple months back asking for build advice, finances became tight and I had to wait. I am now ready to buy and build, so I am looking for your great advice once again. On to the info...

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This week.

RANGE: (e.g.: 600-800) $1000-1100

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: MMO gaming is my primary type of gaming, but I would like to play some of the games my PS3 can't i.e. Left 4 Dead, Mass Effect2, etc...

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: I'm not reusing any part except for the keyboard and mouse.

PARTS PREFERENCES: None really, just looking for the best bang for the buck.

OVERCLOCKING: Yes I would like to overclock a little
SLI: I have no real interest in running SLI or crossfire

MONITOR RESOLUTION: I am buying a new monitor with this build. The one I found for a resonable price was 1600X900

On a lot of the 1600 RAM I am seeing designed for i5 and i7. Will I see trouble if I am using an AMD chip? Should I just go with 1333?

They will work just fine on AMD boards.

The comments on i5 / i7 is to note the RAM voltage is equal to or less than 1.65V, which is the requirement of the Intel chips.

Thanks for the previous replies. This is the system I have in my newegg cart ready to click buy. I just wanted to run it by you all before I did.

Note: my wife clamped down on the budget, so I had to get as close to $1k as I could.

Also, went with the WD HD because the spinpoints are out of stock.

I was really trying to fit either a 5830 or 5850 into my budget, but I need win7. Most of my gaming is MMO in nature, so I'm hoping the 5770 will do. I guess the question is does the 5850 supply enough of an increase in performance to justify the wife aggro for a couple days.

5850 gets about 30+ fps over the 5770.
