OK gang, I have a Sapphire Vapor-X HD 4870 1GB video card that has 1 HDMI output on it. I've tried a cheapo $20 splitter to try to send through HDMI cables to my monitor and to my TV. The monitor works but not the TV. I've tried a cheapo $50 HDMI switch with the same results. If I plug the HDMI cable directly to my TV from the video card it works fine. I'd like to have the 2 connections simultaneously without changing cables every time I want to use TV as my monitor. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
