Yes it can be over clocked. You can use amd overdrive or msi afterburner.

Sure, like other HD7870s, it can be overclocked. How much depends on multiple factors.

What are the specs for the system you intend to install this GPU in to?

That is a good choice for your PSU and the 520w is definitely enough for a single GPU system. I would recommend the Asrock over the ECS, personally.

In the end, should be a solid (as in good) system.

I concur, in general, ECS does not make the same quality of products as Asrock. I do not recommend ECS mobos (based on past bad experiences).

No, the i5 2500 will not bottleneck the GPU. OCing is system by system dependent. You should be able to push it 10% or more without any issues (just as a rough estimate).

in that case sir.. a 10% more performance .. i will not oc my gpu...maybe a 25% of additional performance will worth for a oc...about the mobo sir..will a asrock z77 motherboard be enough?? because im on a tight budget.. the price difference between oc formula and z77 exterme4 will be added for my gpu..

for now i have a gigabyte 6850 oc edition.. and im trying to upgrade to a 7870... if a buy a z77 extreme4 i can also buy a 7870.. but for oc formula i cannot buy a 7870..

how about your opinion sir??

sory for my bad english..

Your English is fine. Get the Asrock motherboard. You could always use the HD6850 OC for now and upgrade to the HD7870 later.

I would not recommend the ECS motherboard.
