I am having some wierd OC voltage readings going on with my FX-8350 (just got it today). Check my signature for specs. Right now I am sitting at 4.7GHz (no stability testing yet because I am hoping to get some help first).
Ok, this is really weird and I have no idea why it is or what to do. I have set my CPU voltage to 1.5375 in the BIOS(M.I.T) and this seems a bit high as I have read that 1.55v is max. However, when I go to the PC Status section of the BIOS, it says that my CPU voltage is 1.456v. I have no idea why I am getting this reading because I have turned off all throttling settings (C1E, C&Q, C6, etc.). Furthermore, when I get into Windows, AMD OD says that my CPU voltage is 1.3375v and CPU-Z and OCCT says my voltage is 1.392v. So, what is with all the different voltage readings. I have already flash the BIOS (F9), I reset CMOS, and took the battery out, but no luck on the different readings and why my voltages are not what I set them to be. I would appreciate any help or insight as to why this would be happening. Thanks to all.
Well, 4.7 didn't stay stable for very long so I am down to 4.5GHz now but still having weird voltage issues.
PC Status (BIOS) - Vcore = 1.472
CPU Voltage Control Setting (BIOS) = 1.5625
CPU-Z = 1.408
AMD OD = 1.34
Still, with no avail, I am having these very different voltage readings. If any one has any suggestions about my motherboard (heard there is no LLC control), previous BIOS versions, or any solution that would remedy this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.
I have the same issue with my new 8320, when idling CPUZ reads my voltages as about 1.42 and when I run prime95 It shows it as bouncing around the mid 1.3's. makes it a pain to I know what voltage I'm at.
