Phenom X3 8450 MAX OC help required

Alright then, I want to OC this old CPU to the max, but all I managed to get out of it is 2.5ghz.... Thats 400mhz increase.

Phenom x3 8450 2.1
GA-MA78G-DS3H
1x 2GB DDR2 800mhz
1x 2GB DDR2 1066mhz
2x 1GB DDR2 1066mhz

I havent changed the voltage, its on Auto.

Clock Ratio on x10.5
CPU frequency on 240
Memory clock i downgraded to x3.33 to make it be 800mhz

please point out what im doing wrong. anything above CPU frequency 240 makes it revert to default.
No kidding, i want to try to make it give me 3Ghz.

started overclocking on stock fan, and on idle it was at 52c.
changed the fan to G-power II pro by gigabyte which i found around the house. now temp is 35c

so i dont have temperature issue's, in fact i still have way to go.

so guys, lets get clocking.
